Here in Shenzhen is an independent, on-the-ground platform for people who want to understand, explore and work with Shenzhen. We combine firsthand local experience, business exploration and practical project support with stories and documentation from the city.

Why Here in Shenzhen exists

Most people encounter Shenzhen through headlines, sourcing platforms, trade shows or short business visits. Those views can be useful, but they rarely show the relationships, decisions and everyday realities behind the city.

Here in Shenzhen exists to close the gap between understanding Shenzhen at a distance and navigating the city directly, meeting relevant people and moving a real project forward.

Founder

I’m Robin, the founder of Here in Shenzhen. Over the years, I’ve worked across Shenzhen’s business and international communities, met founders, visited factories and markets, and worked on projects with people coming to Shenzhen from around the world.

Over time, Here in Shenzhen grew out of those conversations, visits and projects. It became a way to help people experience the city firsthand, support practical projects when there is something concrete to move forward, and document what is happening across Shenzhen.
